 Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the varietal performance of cabbage against tobacco caterpillar. The study comprised seven different varieties/genotypes of cabbage. Cabbage variety V1 (BARI badhakopi-1/Provati) performed better among the seven varieties in respect of incidence of tobacco caterpillar by number (1.67 larvae 5plants-1), caterpillar infested leaves (1.60%), plants (9.33%), head (26.67%), and holes (2.73 plant-1). On the other hand the genotype V6 (T-776) was the worse among all the varieties tested.

Key words: Cabbage Variety, Tobacco Caterpillar and infestation intensity.
